The Reinhold Corporation was founded by Paul E. Reinhold. Mr. Reinhold was
raised in Pittsburgh, where he ran and subsequently sold a successful chain of
family owned dairies. In 1931, he moved to Jacksonville Florida, where he
assumed the presidency of the Jacksonville based Foremost Dairies. During his
nearly 30 years as President, CEO and Chairman of Foremost, the company grew
into one of the largest dairies in the United States
Shortly after moving to Jacksonville, Mr. Reinhold also acquired the
significant Clay County land holdings of retailer J.C. Penney. Originally,
the land was used to support milking cows and cattle, and grow timber. Over
the next twenty years, he sold significant acreage to the U.S. Government
to establish Camp Blanding, and to the Gilman Paper Company, among others.
Today, the remaining land currently supports the Corporation’s timber
operations and the Shadowlawn Nursery. |
